
Questions - Asking the right questions is a very important part of an emergency dispatcher's job. You have to be able to get the right people to the right place, and inform them of the situation. This section will provide you with the questions you need in order to accomplish these goals.
Problems - This section deals with issues that require law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel. You will need to be able to gather this information and relay it on to the correct agency.
Commands - As a dispatcher, many of the people you will be communicating with may be in a state of panic or possibly upset and distraught. Being able to give the correct commands can greatly help you gather the information you need in a timely manner.
People - This section is a list of many different service people and assisting agencies that you may need to refer a caller to.
Places - An important piece of information that a dispatcher must gather is the location of an incident. Not every incident occurs exactly at a certain address. It may be necessary to gather a location by using certain geographical landmarks, or determining what part of a building it is occurring in.
