In this section of the site you will learn several ways to greet someone, and hold a basic general conversation. This will cover learning their name, their age, where they are from, etc. After learning the material in this section, you will be able to go up and introduce yourself to a Spanish speaking person, and learn a little bit about them.

With that out of the way, now we can slide into a basic conversation. Starting a conversation and getting to know a little bit about someone is the only way to meet new people. Here are a few different basic conversations for you to study. Remember that you can plug in your own information, or change the questions around to find out what you want to know in your own conversations. These are just template conversations to show how the flow of a conversation can go. We will start with a formal introduction conversation.

Now we will look at a more informal version.

There you have two examples of two different types of conversations. The first example was more formal than the second. This would be used in a business meeting, or when meeting someone of a higher authority than yourself. The second example would be used when meeting someone who is a peer, or someone you have met before.
These are both very basic conversations. They are here for you to see how a conversation flows, which is very much the same way an English conversation would go. Now you can take these two examples, and add or omit any phrases or questions you need to in order to get the information that you are after. You will learn many more phrases and questions to add into a conversation in the upcoming sections.
